At Dha3R, every one of us is part of the solution to protect mother earth (Dhatri) using our 3R framework.
What we do?
Our key concept: GROUND LEVEL ACTION with local communities involvement.
- Cleaning up lakes and communities as part of plogging, and building thought-provoking litter letters as part of ‘The Litter Letter Project’.
- Install Floating islands, aerators, automated trash collectors, boom barriers, and massive tree plantations at lakes for their protection and rejuvenation.
- Build eco-bricks / valuable objects using the non-recyclable plastic collected and turn trash into treasure.
- Create simple and easy-to-understand posters for Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle activities.
- Educate the apartment owners, individual house owners, tenants, shopkeepers, and small business owners about how to separate organic, recyclable, and non-recyclable waste at the source to promote the circular economy and empower communities.
- Visit schools to teach students the importance of cleanliness in their daily lives and action plan to achieve it.
- Connect garbage and ragpickers directly with communities for safely disposing of recyclable and non-recyclable plastic with local raddi shops. Empower people and the environment for a win-win situation.
- Take stringent action against habitual offenders of garbage dumping and burning using technology and social media.
- Work closely with municipal officers and workers for a cleaner environment for understanding / ensuring proper sanitation and garbage disposal.
- Setting up pooja waste dumping yard at lakes and turning them into compost. Create awareness through local temples.
- Help colonies set up units for decomposing wet waste and water harvesting pits at their homes.
